The former three-sport star at Biloxi High has been fighting since he was 16. John has held five World Titles and is currently the WKC Heavyweight Champion, and European Heavyweight Champion. Known for thunderous leg kicks and fighting from the clench. Dixson has worn down some of the finest fighters in the world with his pressing style. He has also faced some of the legends of the MMA world in the ring. He brings years of experience to the gym when he instructs his students.
A true MMA pioneer, John has been involved in Cage Fighting/MMA since the "Dark Ages" of the sport. Back when there were no weight classes, no rules and no time limits. He's been fighting all over the world and is well known everywhere for his fighting prowess. For those that are fans of the sport, John Dixson fought on the very first Pride Fighting Championships event in Japan. It was a truly groundbreaking show and fight promotion.
Coach Dixson is currently on of the most sought after MMA referees in the Gulf South. He prides himself for using his vast experience and knowledge to ensure the safety of the bout participants.
Coach Dixson is a recognized as a member of the Martial Arts Hall of Fame due to his fight career and his contributions to the Martial Arts culture.
